The committee have decide to lift the current keepnet ban at RoughGrounds, so as of Wednesday 19th August keepnets can be used at the lake for silvers only.
NO CARP OF ANY SIZE ARE TO BE PUT IN KEEPNETS.
As we fish welfare is important to the clud we have put a few guides together regarding the usage of keepnets.
- Please make sure your keepnet is long enough. We suggest 3m ad a mimium
- When placing the keepnet int he water please try and make sure it is fully submerged and stretched out in the water.
- If you are catching a lot of big bream and tench try and use to keep nets to reduce over crowding.
- Try not to keep fish in the keepnets for longer than 5 hrs.
- If you land a fish by the lnading net then place it in the keepnet with the landing net. Try not to drop fish from a high into the keepnet.
