Highworth Angling Club
A CELEBRATION FOR THE LIFE OF
RON KING
1830 THE TROUT INN 20 JUN 2026
As many of you know on the 26 December 2025 our club bailiff Ron King sadly passed away.
The club wishes to honour Ron and has organised a tribute in his memory at 1830 on Saturday 20 June 2026 at the Trout Inn, Lechlade.
At 1900 we will raise a glass to honour Ron after which you are invited to say a few words or anecdotes, please let me know if you wish to do this.
In order to give the Trout Inn an indication of numbers I need you to confirm your attendance on either the clubs face book page or text message the match sec Dave Hart, the mobile number is in your handbook. Please do this by 14 June 2026.
Please spread the word and let other members know who may not see this notice or have visibility of the clubs Facebook page or web site.
We look forward to seeing you on the night.
Welcome
Highworth Angling Club offers River and Lake Fishing based in the town of Lechlade On Thames.
The club was founded in 1947 and had access to a number of waters in the area including Whelford and Horseshoe Lakes and stretches of the River Thames.
In 1993, the club purchased Roughgrounds Lake in Lechlade and is now the clubs only still water venue.
We control the River Thames from Buscot Weir, through Bloomers Field and St. Johns Lock all the way through Lechlade to the Roundhouse towards Inglesham.
