Non members can purchase a River day ticket from RV TACKLE AND BAIT, THE TROUT INN LECHADE , Angling Direct ( Swindon) and LECHLADE POST OFFICE.
You will need to carry your day ticket with you at all times.
Please note that night fishing is not permitted on any Highworth Angling Club waters, including our stretches of the River Thames and Roughgrounds Lake. Members must carry their valid club membership card at all times while fishing on club waters and present it upon request to any Highworth Angling Club bailiff or club official. See river rules.
Please not at Buscot you are not allowed to fish the smaller lock stretch signed posted as private.
Fishing at Roughgrounds Lake is exclusively available to Highworth Angling Club members and guests accompanied by a current club member. All anglers must comply with the club’s rules and be able to provide valid membership or guest authorisation when requested.
If you are taking a guest to the lake it is you the member who is responsible for that guest and to make sure they are following all the club rules.
If you are taking under 16’s you are responsible for their behaviour and they re required to fish the same peg as you are fishing.
Roughgroiunds is a well stocked lake consisting of Caro averaging 10lb up to 30lb. The lake also has a good head of tench, bream, skimmers and roach.
